How it works
The calculator fetches the current market price of your selected cryptocurrency in real-time from the CoinGecko API, one of the most trusted data aggregators in the crypto industry. CoinGecko compiles price data from hundreds of exchanges worldwide to provide accurate, volume-weighted average prices.
Once you enter your buy price per coin and the number of coins you hold, the tool calculates your total cost basis (buy price multiplied by quantity) and your current portfolio value (live price multiplied by quantity). The difference between these two figures is your profit or loss. The ROI percentage is calculated as (profit divided by total cost) times 100, giving you a clear picture of your return relative to what you invested.
